A serious crash shut down Route 10 in Morris County Monday afternoon, authorities said.

The crash occurred near the Ridgedale Avenue intersection in Hanover, local police confirmed in a social media post shortly after 12:30 p.m.

A photo from the accident scene shows one vehicle overturned and a second completely upside-down.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area as the investigation is conducted.
